Fiscal Overview

The African American Leadership Foundation (AALF) Fiscal Sponsorship program provides administrative and financial oversight to help organizations and initiatives achieve their mission without the need to establish a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity. By offering comprehensive fiscal sponsorship services, AALF enables partners to focus on program development and impact while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Our services include financial management, grant administration, donor acknowledgment, and reporting, tailored to support community-driven projects that align with AALF’s mission of empowering African American leadership and advancing equity. Through this partnership, we help amplify the voices and efforts of changemakers, fostering sustainable growth and meaningful impact.

STEP TWO: Eligibility Review and Agreement Finalization

  1. Upon receipt, the AALF Team will review the LOI to evaluate:

    1. Alignment with AALF’s mission and goals.

    2. Eligibility of the program for fiscal sponsorship services.

  2. If the program is deemed eligible:

    1. AALF will identify the most appropriate fiscal sponsorship model to fit the Partner’s needs.

    2. If required, AALF will request additional information or documentation for further consideration.

  3. Once eligibility and the sponsorship model are confirmed:

    1. AALF will draft the fiscal sponsorship agreement for review by the Partner.

    2. After both parties agree to the terms, the final agreement will be signed.

  4. Fiscal Sponsorship Services will officially commence upon signature by both parties.
